FACHPACK 2025: LEONHARD KURZ launches innovative brand protection feature TRUSTSEAL® ID

Fürth/Germany, September 02, 2025: FACHPACK 2025 is just around the corner – from September 23 to 25, leading voices and key players will meet in Nuremberg at Europe's most renowned trade fair for the packaging industry. This year's edition will once again focus on the theme of 'Transition in Packaging.' Around 1,400 exhibitors, from market leaders to start-ups, will discuss current industry developments relating to digitalization and sustainability, while also presenting innovative solutions for the packaging industry of the future. Under the motto ‘Protect Products. Enhance Goods. Empower Brands,’ LEONHARD KURZ, the specialist for thin-film technologies from Fürth, will present its latest finishing and product security solutions at booth 417 in hall 4A. Visitors can expect to see innovative packaging designs from KURZ that combine the integration of state-of-the-art optical and digital security features with maximum design freedom and customization possibilities.

Merging the digital and haptic worlds: TRUSTSEAL^® ID

Since 2025, LEONHARD KURZ and its wholly-owned subsidiary SCRIBOS have been merging their expertise in the field of brand protection under the unified KURZ SCRIBOS brand – bringing together the innovative product portfolios of both companies. The launch of TRUSTSEAL^® ID will be one of the absolute highlights at the KURZ booth this year and it marks the latest innovation among KURZ SCRIBOS product protection solutions.

The customizable label combines visible OVD features with digital security elements, forming a solution that delivers high security and reliable copy protection, as well as serialization with an attractive design. KURZ's proven TRUSTSEAL^® technology and a machine-readable code join forces to create multiple protective barriers – making counterfeiting virtually impossible. The digital print is not applied retrospectively, but rather is seamlessly embedded in the multi-layer structure.

With the addition of diffractive ValiGate^®, TRUSTSEAL^® ID becomes a secure, effective and scalable security seal that can be easily implemented into existing print production processes. TRUSTSEAL^® ID with diffractive ValiGate^® combines the visual security and product protection features of TRUSTSEAL® with the digital features of ValiGate^®. The encrypted, high-resolution pattern of ValiGate® technology is based on a specially-developed algorithm and can be verified automatically via smartphone without an app.

TRUSTSEAL^® ID with diffractive ValiGate^® can be both used as a transfer finish in the form of hot foil stamping and embedded in production processes as a finished label. At FACHPACK 2025, a highlight at the KURZ booth will be a packaging concept for an anti-aging cream integrated with TRUSTSEAL^® ID. In addition, a variety of innovative packaging designs will be presented, equipped with a wide range of security features to meet virtually any customer requirement.

Late-stage customization – printing systems from MPRINT

At this year's FACHPACK, KURZ subsidiary MPRINT will once again present exciting and innovative solutions for monochrome and full-color UV inkjet printing in the packaging and label industry. Two solutions will be on display for the first time: the MCUBE^® web, a full-color UV inkjet printing solution that can be compactly integrated into production machines, and the MJETeco, the monochrome stand-alone system for the subsequent printing of text, coding and product and brand protection features. Both systems offer turnkey digital printing capabilities for a wide range of requirements in web and sheet-fed printing – from simple coding to full-color customization.

In addition, digital security features such as ValiGate^® can be easily integrated into existing production processes with MPRINT systems on a just-in-time basis. This enables cost-effective implementation of brand and product protection even for low-cost consumer goods – without compromising on efficiency or flexibility. Via live demonstrations, visitors to the KURZ booth can experience MPRINT printing systems and gain insights into their diverse applications. The offering is complemented by exhibits from the folding carton sector and other forward-looking packaging solutions from KURZ.
